My Teaching Qualifications and Professional Experience

I am a huge advocate for the transformative power of education! I love to learn, and I hope to share that enthusiasm with you and your child really soon.

My Teaching Qualifications

I have completed:

  • Master’s Degree: Educational Practice and Research. My area of focus was children’s wellbeing.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This course taught me about becoming a classroom teacher.
  • Undergraduate Degree: Childhood and Youth Studies. This course covered areas such as Childhood Development and Child Psychology, as well as more academic areas such as Children’s Literature and Creative Writing.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Learning and Development. This course was focused on supporting children to thrive holistically, and how to support them to achieve a good level of development.

All my qualifications were achieved in UK university’s.

My Leadership Training

In addition to my university education, I have also completed additional training, which allowed me to train other adults:

  • Senior Mental Health Lead training: I have supported student and staff wellbeing as the Mental Health Lead for many years.
  • Behaviour Management Lead training: I have trained other adults in positive behaviour management strategies for many years.
  • Safeguarding Lead training: I was responsible for leading safeguarding and supporting other adults to keep children safe.

I have also completed regular Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training and courses, including areas such as:

  • Safeguarding children
  • First aid
  • Health and safety
  • Supporting learners with dyslexia
  • Epilepsy training
  • Epipen training
  • Trauma

My Work Experience

  • I have worked as a Primary School Teacher for many years.
  • I have been teaching English language online for quite a few years, in addition to my teaching job.
  • I have worked as a 1:1 tutor for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Prior to becoming a teacher, I was the manager of a Childcare setting, for children aged 4-12 years old.
  • I have also worked in a Nursery, and have experience with babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
  • I completed regular babysitting and nannying positions as a teenager.
